Your job now vs your job then?

i used to run a cigar shop then managed a music store, now I am a damage estimator/office manager of a body shop. Strange career change.

I was a Java developer and now I’m a director of development and systems. Huge change to give up my best skill to lead others, however I feel like I’m growing more daily in my leadership abilities.

Ha ha I worked in accounts receivable for a company who provided inventory and accounting software for mom and pop office supply companies. Now I work in student affairs at a state university. Life is weird, man!

The last time I was on addy, I worked part time at the library at college. Now, I’m a software administrator for a bank.

When Addy died, I believe I was still teaching English in Japan.

Now, I'm an electrical engineer at a utility in FL.

            Life is weird indeed, yo.

Hmm... I think I was doing graphic design work for a trade show company. Now I’m an internet cartoonist. Life is weird!

I was a stupid teenager then and now I'm a systems engineer at Bandcamp.

I'm in the company photo and everything. Teenage me still can't believe it.

During my last job hunt, I clearly remember looking to see if there were any comms/design gigs open at Bandcamp, landing on the page you linked and going, "Eep, it's Jennie! :O" Hope it's as awesome of a work environment/experience as it seems!

I forget if I was anything other than a student during my Addydays, but between then and now I've been a graphic designer for a huge corporation, an art gallery associate, an art/content manager for a "slow fashion" brand, and a communications manager for a nonprofit running the largest free bike education program in ze world. I'm now a communications/marketing consultant with side hustles in copywriting, editing, and design.

Jobless high school student/graduate --> janitorial work for minimum wage (with increased contamination OCD for no extra cost!) --> jobless adult (but hey, I have a college degree now)...
